Feldspathic porcelain and lithium disilicate. Digital feldspathic veneers are cut from a layered block and handcrafted. Built the way a tooth is built: light in, life out. Thin enough to keep the prep honest. Precise enough to keep the clinic calm. Designed as one smile, not ten separate decisions. For dentists who want the veneer to disappear, and the patient to remain.

Seats thin

Conservative prep. Honest emergence. The veneer doesn’t need bulk to look alive.

Cosmodent · Case FAQ

What clinics ask.
On this case.

Feldspathic veneers are chosen when the case allows a conservative preparation and the aesthetic target is high. They can be colour-matched in fine steps, stay thin and let light pass the way enamel does. Lithium disilicate is stronger and slightly more opaque, and is often the better choice when load is high or the preparation cannot stay ultra-thin. Bruxism, heavy anterior loading, diet and the opposing dentition belong in the indication. The choice is a clinical decision, and we are happy to discuss it on the case. More in our article How feldspathic veneers differ from other veneers.

Digitally. They are cut from a layered block that already carries translucency and depth, then hand-finished by a technician so the surface takes light like a tooth. The colour sits in the ceramic rather than being painted on at the end, which is why the veneer can stay thin.

Minimum thickness is typically 0.1–0.3 mm for feldspathic veneers and 0.3–0.5 mm for lithium disilicate. Occasionally we make prepless veneers when the case is right for it.

The scan of both arches and the bite, the shade, and photographs according to the FAB Smiles Photo guide. Please state whether aesthetics, function or both decide the case. If the shade changes after try-in, send new photographs with the return.

Yes. We design veneers as one smile, not as separate units. For aesthetic cases we always start with a digital wax-up and a printed model with a silicone key, so you and the patient can test shape, length and proportion as a mock-up before you prepare. See Digital wax-ups.
