Worn teeth from erosion or grinding are planned digitally, then transferred with clear silicone indexes. At Cosmodent the indexes are made in GC Exa Clear. The clinic chooses how the composite goes in: injected, packed as a full mould, or placed directly with the index as a guide.
Digital design first
The design restores form and function before anything is placed in the mouth. Bite, symmetry and the remaining tooth structure are read on screen. Recreating every second tooth in the design gives a clear neighbour for each unit, so the index is a plan, not a guess.
The model is printed. From that model we make the indexes the clinic will use at the chair.
Injection moulding
Injection moulding is used with flowable composite. After the digital design and the print, we make accurate moulds in GC Exa Clear. The silicone is clear and stable enough to show the cavity and to take the injection. Composite is injected into the index so form and margins follow the validated design. The point is less freehand work and fewer adjustments after set.
Full moulding
For broader coverage the clinic can use heated composite instead of a flowable. Once warm, the material is more pliable and can be shaped for larger surfaces, including veneer-like or crown-like coverage in composite. Indexes for this path often combine a hard printed tray with GC Exa Clear, a hard-soft stack that holds the detail of the design while the clinician works.
Direct moulding
Direct moulding keeps the index as a guide and lets the clinician place flowable or heated composite on the prepared tooth by hand. It suits smaller repairs and local wear, where full injection is more than the case needs, but the design still has to hold.
What the laboratory delivers
We design, print and make the GC Exa Clear indexes. The clinic owns the placement. The three techniques share one rule: the form is decided digitally, then transferred. If the records cannot support that transfer, we stop and say so.
